The Red City

The Red City seem intent on proving that hard-rocking guitar riffs and a gut-thumping rhythm section are not a thing of the past. The Los Angeles-based band channels the gritty energy of rockers like T-Rex, X, and The Stooges while Lead Singer Laura Meakin’s ethereal vocals evoke Shirley Manson and Florence + the Machine. Expectations are high for these blue jean rockers!

The Red City's premier single ‘LA River’ recounts the tale of a prisoner of the city trying to escape down the cemented-in, dark shallow waters of an anemic urban river. It is a dark harbinger of our times that still manages to get the body moving and the head banging.
